Pastor Corbett

pastor-anthony-q-corbett-sr-lundy-chapel-mbcPastor Anthony Q. Corbett, Sr., the pastor of Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He grew up in Dublin, Georgia attending Laurens County Schools before graduating from West Laurens High School. He studied at the Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia and received his theological degree from the Emmanuel Bible College.

Pastor Corbett is the son of Lillie Mae Corbett and the grandson of the late Jessie and Idella Daniels of Dublin, Georgia. Being happily married for over 20 years, Pastor Corbett and his lovely wife Juanita are the proud parents of five children and five grandchildren.

Discovering the calling on his life, Pastor Corbett was ordained and licensed in 1990 by Pastor R.L. Pooler of Montford Grove Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia. He accepted a position as Under-Shepherd of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Dudley, Georgia and was later led to pastor New Evergreen Baptist and Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church both of Dublin, Georgia. On May 31, 1998 he was installed as Senior Pastor of Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

With less than a 100 count membership when Pastor Corbett first arrived, with hard work and dedication by spreading the love of God through his ministry, Lundy’s congregation has blossomed phenomenally to more than 650 members. Under his leadership a new Lundy edifice was formed and also 14 acres of land and charter buses were acquired.

Pastor Corbett says, “I love doing ministry, preaching the Word, and being around my flock. Lundy is the place where Reaching the Lost, Teaching the found, and Making disciples for Heaven’s Ground.”
